The juvenile court (under which adoptions took place) sat only on a Friday [see above - relevant lines bottom right, shaded].
..... however, Ken Matthews was apparently adopted on a Tuesday (both 12th April 1938, date of application, and 12th July 1938, date of order, were Tuesdays) [see graphics below].
