THE CREMATION

The cremation of the body of John Theodore Talbot Fletcher took place just three short days after his death.

Rumour has it that one of the undertakers actually took the service at the crematorium .....

Enquiries of a number of crematoria have elicited the information that usually cremations take place 10-14 days after death. Why then the rush with this one?

Was Enfield Crematorium in Hertfordshire chosen solely because it could cremate the body more swiftly than the local crematorium, Harlow, in Essex?

Would the crematorium have agreed to the cremation had they known that the information for the Death Certificate had been provided by a carer rather than an Executor or next-of-kin?

No satisfactory explanation has been provided as to why the Executors or next-of-kin didn't apply for the Death Certificate, but instead sent the "carer", Danny Balloo, to do it.

Why was no Post Mortem carried out after the death? (see the Medical Records page)

Why had the Coroner said he had no interest in the case?

Enfield Crematorium have failed to reply to Ken Matthews' request to know what they would have done if the Application for Cremation had included an affirmative reply to the question about whether there was any interest in the body.

John Fletcher's family and his solicitors were well aware that Ken Matthews had written to John Fletcher asking for DNA testing some months prior to his death.

Yet for the cremation to have taken place this question must have been answered in the negative. Why? And by whom?
